Translator and poet Marcela Sulak's work has appeared in a wide variety of literary journals, including Fence, Indiana Review, Notre Dame Review, Spoon River Review, Quarterly West, and River Styx. She has authored three poetry collections – Of All the Things That Don't Exist, I Love You Best, Immigrant, Decency, and Mouth Full of Seeds – and co-edited the award-winning anthology Family Resemblance. She has translated work from Spanish, French, Czech, German, Yiddish, and Hebrew, including K.H. Mácha's May, Karel J. Erben's Bouquet, Mutombo Nkulu-N'Sengha's Bela-Wenda: Voices from the Heart of Africa, and Twenty Girls to Envy Me: New and Selected Poems of Orit Gidali. A four-time recipient of the Academy of American Poetry Prize, Sulak currently directs the Shaindy Rudoff Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, where she is an associate professor in American Literature. In addition, she serves as editor of The Ilanot Review and hosts the TLV.1 Radio pod cast, Israel in Translation.
