David Burnett
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, David Burnett has lived in Leipzig for over two decades where he works as a freelance translator.
He was awarded a 2014 PEN/Heim Translation Fund grant for his work on Johannes Urzidil's stories. Having translated the collections
The Last Bell and House of the Nine Devils, Burnett is currently completing the first ever English translation of
Urzidil's masterpiece A Prague Triptych.
